Born in San Angelo, TX, Chelle Adams knew at a very early age that she wanted to pursue a career in art. After graduating from the Dallas Art Institute, she started her career in Seattle in the publishing industry as an Art Director while continuing to paint. Those years, influenced by incredible early mentors, shaped a strong commitment to practicing art.
Chelle paints portraits, landscapes, and retrospective pieces, and has also illustrated and published a children's picture book. Her medium of choice is typically an acrylic wash with an oil paint finish for deep texture.
Chelle recently painted for two weeks at the Georgia O'Keeffe's Ghost Ranch in Abiquiu, NM, and is building a collection of paintings focused on those images for her second one-woman show in spring 2026. She was the Artist in Residence with the Byron Nelson Estate from 2012-2016.
