Bonnie's subjects are primarily women, and her signature style is whimsical femininity. She has been drawing and painting for more than 30 years and regularly participates in local, national and international competitions and shows. To her preferred medium of watercolor, as well as collage, charcoal and acrylic, she brings significant artistic education and accomplishment. She studied design and art history at the University of Houston and advertising art and journalism at the University of Oklahoma. At the University of California, San Diego, she earned a Professional Certificate of Fine Arts.
Bonnie is a Signature Member of the National Watercolor Society and the San Diego Watercolor Society and a Master Signature Member of the Western Federation of Watercolor Societies. She is a member of the American Women Artists, the American Watercolor Society, The Texas Watercolor Society and the National Museum of Women in the Arts, Washington, D.C.
Bonnie's work has been featured in Watercolor Magic, San Diego Home and Garden, Pacific magazine and Sketchbook magazine. A very special painting of hers is included in a book entitled A Bit of Velvet and a Touch of Lace about the phenomenal life of Robin Brown of Magnolia Pearl.
