Inspired by the treasures of the Texas Hill Country, Nan paints to bring that vibrant spirit into homes near and far. In addition to original works, she welcomes commissions that capture what others hold most dear.
Reflecting on why watercolor, ink, acrylic and digital painting continue to be a central part of her life, Nan says that perhaps God has used the making, marketing, and teaching of art as a way to draw her out of her introvert shell into the kind of relationships where people can laugh, create, and connect over things they truly care about.
At times, Nan collaborates with local poet Megan Willome to create a show that combines and interconnects poetry and painting.
Nan's award-winning paintings include Pink Thistle with Bee, Cactus Fruit, Raspberries, Back Burn to Contain a Lightning-Strike Grass Fire and Recycled Jeans. Her work has been exhibited in galleries in San Antonio, Boerne, Comfort, Fredericksburg, Del Rio and San Angelo, TX, as well as the at the John Michael Kohler Museum in Sheboygan, WI. Nan is a member of the Fredericksburg Art Guild and a life member of the Created to Thrive Artist Mentoring Program.
