Die Künstler members are invited to paint outdoors on the grounds of the Pioneer Museum during the Founders Day Living History Celebration on May 2-3, 325 W. Main Street, 10 am -5 pm. Living history presenters who will also be on the grounds that day may make an interesting subject!
Suzanne and Chris are planning to attend on Saturday, May 3, at about 9:30.
Park on San Antonio Street and enter the museum grounds to the left of the Gillespie County Historical Society building, near the windmill. Entry for DK painters will be free, and bathrooms will be available, as well as plenty of shady spots for painting. Call Suzanne with any questions, 830-739-2875.
Die Künstler von Fredericksburg (the artists of Fredericksburg), or DK for short, is an all-volunteer member artist group founded in 1993, its name honoring the City's German heritage.

DK's regular monthly meetings feature informal live demonstrations by noted artists working in a variety of media, genres, and styles.
Members may also select DVDs to borrow from DK's extensive lending library of art education materials.
Meetings are held the first Thursday of each month from September through June at the Gillespie County Historical Society, 312 W. San Antonio Street.
Visitors are always welcome. Come join us from 5-7 pm!
Throughout the year, DK offers its members a number of exhibition opportunities, including a year-round rotating display of members' original artwork at Fredericksburg Theater Company, a one-day Art Festival in March at Fredericksburg's Marktplatz where individual members may show their work, and the group's major event of the year, the Fine Art Show & Sale held on the second weekend in November.

Its activities are funded by modest annual membership fees, sales commissions from the November Art Show & Sale, and by donations from individuals.
